Tribal Stay Over Fund
As part of our environmental programs and our commitment to welcoming diverse groups, we have reached out to local Indigenous tribes. Jug Handle sits on ancestral Pomo land, where inland groups once gathered each summer. With ample lodging and camping space, we can host up to 140 participants and provide a private, quiet setting where elders can teach younger generations about coastal foods, medicine, materials, and culture.
For several years, we’ve hosted tribal groups at a reduced rate. We hope to deepen that support by offering stays at a greater discount—or even free—recognizing that this is, and always has been, their land.
Please donate to our Tribal Stay Over Fund (Nature Education) to help us continue supporting these important educational gatherings.
