Staff Spotlight: Jen Nave

Originally from Montana, Jen joined the team at Jug Handle Creek Nature Center last year, bringing with her a deep passion for hospitality and for creating spaces where people feel comfortable, cared for, and valued.

Drawn to the Mendocino Coast by the miles of hiking trails, rivers perfect for kayaking, the ocean, and the strong sense of community, Jen quickly found herself at home at Jug Handle.

“Jug Handle is so magical,” she says. “Obviously the property is gorgeous, but for me it’s the overall energy and vibe. I love seeing school kids running around learning about nature. I love hosting retreat groups and meeting all our amazing guests, whether this is their first time here or they’ve been coming to Jug Handle for decades. And I love the staff and the energy and dedication they put into caring for this place.”

Whether welcoming guests, helping groups settle in, or simply contributing to the warmth and spirit of the property, Jen has already become a valued part of the Jug Handle community.
