Bunkhouse
Bunkhouse rooms can be rented individually or, contact us at guestservices@jughandlecreek.org to rent the entire Bunkhouse as a whole.
The Bunkhouse is a modern building with 4 individual guest rooms, as well as the Sea Terrace common area, perfect for groups renting the entire space. Each room sleeps between 4 and 6 guests (each has one Queen bed and 1-2 sets of twin over twin bunk beds) and each room has its own designated restroom in a separate building, approximately 15 yards away, as well as access to a shared galley kitchen.
The common room, Sea Terrace, can be rented for meetings, classes, workshops, and special events. This building is great for school groups and family gatherings.
Note: Jug Handle is a Nature Education Center first and foremost and we often host school groups and other events in the Sea Terrace common area. If an event is open to the public, we welcome you to join us!

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that travel plans can change. Because Jug Handle Creek Nature Center operates as a non-profit nature education center with limited accommodations, changes to existing reservations impact our operations and affect our ability to provide affordable lodging on the coast. Please review our policy for cancellations, shortening stays, or reducing rooms below:
1. Full Cancellations
Single Rooms, Cabins, Cottages, and Classrooms: You will receive a refund only if you cancel with at least 14 days' notice prior to your scheduled check-in date.
The Farmhouse: You will receive a refund only if you cancel with at least 30 days' notice prior to your scheduled check-in date.
Camping: All camping spots booked directly through us are fully refundable with 24 hours' notice. (Note: Reservations made via Hipcamp must be altered or canceled directly through the Hipcamp platform).
Processing Fee: All approved refunds are subject to a 10% processing fee on the total transaction amount. Within the 14-day (or 30-day for the Farmhouse) window, payments are strictly non-refundable.
2. Shortening a Stay (Reducing Nights)
Outside the Policy Window: If you request to shorten your stay before your cancellation deadline (14 days for rooms/cabins; 30 days for Farmhouse/Bunkhouse), your reservation will be adjusted. The nights removed will be refunded, subject to the standard 10% processing fee on the dropped nights.
Inside the Policy Window: If you request to shorten your stay within the 14-day or 30-day window, or after you have checked in, no refunds or credits will be issued for the dropped nights. You will remain financially responsible for the entire length of the original booking.
3. Dropping Rooms (Partial Cancellations)
Multi-Room Group Bookings: If you have booked multiple individual rooms, cabins, or campsites and wish to drop some but not all of them, the standard notice windows apply to each specific room being removed.
Notice Provided: Dropping a room prior to the 14-day or 30-day deadline will result in a refund for that specific room’s cost, minus the 10% processing fee.
Late Requests: Dropping a room within the 14-day or 30-day window will forfeit the entire payment for that specific room.
Facility Buyouts: If you rented the entire Jug Handle Property under a flat group rate, dropping individual rooms does not change the total reservation price.
